Davydenko has already demonstrated this year that he can beat these two players, who have been at the top of the tennis world for years. Davydenko’s victories over Federer and Nadal actually took place in the same tournament. Davydenko had accomplished the feat of beating these two stars in the same tournament for the 2nd time. He is only the 2nd player in the world to beat those two players in the same tournament two different times.
Davydenko has put himself in a position to advance in the world rankings with his strong start. With just 400 points, he sits behind Juan Martin Del Potro currently.
Davydenko appears to be poised to continue winning and he has already won a tournament this year. Last year 5 tournaments were wopn by Davydenko. This total was more than the two previous years combined. Even though Davydenko is far into his career It appears that is improving.

Davydenko has the potential to move back into the top 3 players in the world with continued success this year.
