Roger Federer This Season
The start of another excellent year has been enjoyed by Roger Federer. At the top of men’s tennis for years there has been Federer and is looked to continue this year.
A13-3 record has been posted by Federer so far on the year. Starting at the Australian Open, ten of these wins were consecutive. Federer was able to win the first grand slam of the year with a great showing at the Australian Open. Along the way Federer was dominant, losing just 3 sets in the entire tournament.
It has been shown by this tennis betting Federer that he is ready to take on all of the challengers this year. Andy Murray was taken out by Federer in route to his Grand Slam victory at the Australian Open. The 4th ranked player in the world is Andy Murray and is seen as one of the top young competitors. Federer has been playing professionally for years and is getting close to the 30 year old mark. Many players slow down as they approach 30, but this win shows that Federer is still not finished.
Good news for pro tennis player Federer is this 13-3 start. There has been slightly down by his standards in his last two seasons although Federer has been continuously successful for the last few years.
There had been a 63-7 record by Federer in 2007. He was quite dominant and 7 singles titles were won in that season. The next year Federer showed signs of decline. In 2008 Federer lost 15 matches and only won 4 singles titles. It was not equal to what Federer had previously achieved although a 66-15 record is great. A good start to this season could point to a return to the success Federer had in 2007.
